Tooth & Nail Records

Tooth & Nail Records is more than a music company to the people who support our bands worldwide and the hard-working staff who consider our offices a second home, their coworkers a second family. What began in a bedroom over a decade ago has grown organically to become the enthusiastic support system behind many of the most important rock bands operating, including Underoath, Emery, Hawk Nelson, Thousand Foot Krutch and The Almost. With headquarters in Seattle and offices in Nashville, Tennessee and elsewhere, Tooth & Nail Records is also the parent company to Solid State Records (Demon Hunter, Haste The Day) and BEC Recordings (Jeremy Camp, Kutless).
The Authority has always been very proud to work closely with the folks at Tooth & Nail. Our working relationship has been constant through our time involved with the Rock Band Network. We wanted to take a moment to showcase the artists and songs we have done together. Do yourselves a favor and pick up these tracks! You are sure to be turned on to some great new music and challenged by the fun charts. We hope to bring more to the table from their awesome roster soon! Go to their website and check out all of the great bands they have under Tooth & Nail, Solid State and BEC!
August Burns Red
There are a galaxy's worth of metal bands active today. But stare at all of those stars long enough and some lines start to form; everything starts to take shape. The Constellations begin to bloom.
Just two years ago, Lancaster, PA's August Burns Red were, to the naked eye, just another young band jockeying for position in the modern metal scene. Then came Messengers, the band's 2007 full-length release for Solid State Records, and a new frontrunner emerged. Without hype, devoid of any smoke and mirrors, the album debuted at 81 on the Billboard charts, going on to ever-so-quietly sell more than 80,000 copies.

Demon Hunter
One of the most important bands in the underground, Demon Hunter is an anomaly in today's heavy music scene, jettisoning fashionable trends and easily recognizable cliches in favor of traditional heavy metal power and melodic hooks. "The World is a Thorn," the title track from their latest album, is a mesmerizing mixture of furious metal fretwork, driving and classic thrash metal riffage and pounding breakdowns.

Emery
Emery, the ever-evolving rock quintet originally from South Carolina that has been making its mark since 2000, is set to release its fourth full-length album, "...In Shallow Seas We Sail," on June 2, 2009, via longtime home Tooth & Nail Records. "...In Shallow Seas We Sail" picks up right where Emery's last release, the EP "While Broken Hearts Prevail" (2008) left off, both thematically and stylistically.
Haste The Day
When peace like a river attendeth my way When sorrows like sea billows roll It is well, it is well with my soul...
Those lines, from the 19th Century hymn "It Is Well With My Soul," say a lot about metalcore mainstays HASTE THE DAY.
Ivoryline
Ivoryline has been inspired. In a pop-rock world of neon and auto-tune, it's not very often that a band has a clear vision for themselves, their music and what they represent. But Ivoryline isn't just any band.
Kutless
Kutless is a Christian rock band from Portland, Oregon formed in 2000. Since their formation, they have released six studio albums including their latest, It Is Well. The band has also released a live album, Live from Portland. Currently, they have sold almost 2 million records.
MyChildren MyBride
To say that Madison, Alabama's MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE are a driving force in today's hardcore and metal scene would be the understatement of the year. With over thirty thousand copies of their Solid State Records' debut "Unbreakable" sold in the US, countless tours under their belt and a brand new record in its final stages, MYCHILDREN MYBRIDE (Matthew Hasting - Vocals, Robert Bloomfield - Guitar, Dan Alvarado - Guitar, and Joe Lengson - Bass) are ready to keep the ball rolling.
Since October
There are few who place honesty and vulnerability as their foremost virtues in artistry. After all, rock n' roll has been built on fantasies, imaginations, and the hype of cartoonlike demagogues. Yet, today, as the music industry itself searches for new voices, there seems to be a growing hunger among the public for something real, something beyond plastic personas and fake fluorescent skies.
